Use of map


There can be no such a field of study without the use of map. Map expresses a lot of information through graphics that is easy to extract and understand. it provides geographic references. It communicates spatial forms and relationship with social attributes. Moreover, it helps to understand the problems and prospects of an area in terms of resources, infrastructures and so on. Maps present multiple layers of information’s simultaneously. So we can, compare different variable quickly. By looking at a map, we can get an almost instant view of conditions of a particular place at a specific time. Without having to go through piles of data. We can see important things, changes that have taken place. Finally, map provides bases for further planning and other activities. That is why it is said that a picture is worth a thousand words.
