various types of natural vegetation are found in Nepal. land form, climate, soil types, altitude,etc, have brought this diversity in the pattern of natural vegetation. the distribution pattern of natural vegetation found according to the altitude in general. there are six broad types of natural vegetation in our country. the tropical and sub-tropical forests are found in the tarai and churia. sal, sisau, khayar, satisal, are mainly found in theses forests. temperate forest is found above the sub- tropical forest where trees such as kattus, chilaune, uttis, malato, etc. everagreenconiferous forest found above the temperate forest. the tree species such as laliguras, bhojpatra, dhupi, sa;;a, etc, are found in this forest. the alpine forest is found above the evergreen coniferous forest where Thorny bush are  commonly found because of low temperature remains that low through the year so trees are not found in this forest. snow and glaciers cover the cold desert area. the vegetation such as lichens and mosses are found in this area.
